Workplace News Feed

Workplace News Feed takes cues from your Workplace connections and Groups to show you company information you’re most likely to be interested in.

See your latest company updates on Workplace News Feed

News Feed highlights personalized posts and information on Workplace, like company announcements or upcoming events, to help you stay more focused and productive at work.

See personalized stories and posts

News Feed stories include status updates, photos, videos, links, comments and likes. These are posts from groups you're a member of, or timeline posts from people you follow.

Follow your colleagues on News Feed

When you follow coworkers or executives in your company, you’ll start to see their posts in your feed. If they follow you, they’ll see your posts in their feed, too.

Customize your News Feed, your way

Customize your feed so you only see updates from Groups and people of interest. Follow or unfollow people or posts, or hide a post so you’re less likely to see similar posts in the future.

Get recommendations for groups to join

Your previous activity on Workplace can influence the stories that appear in your feed later. So, if you’ve liked or commented on photos in the past, you may be more likely to see photos in your feed.

Promote executive posts

Boost posts from your executive team in News Feed to give your leadership more visibility. When you promote their posts, they’ll automatically show up at the top of the group feed for everyone to see.

Workplace News Feed is your first stop in connecting with employees

When you share ideas, feedback and updates on News Feed, you build a more connected community and transparent culture. And you’ll only see posts you’re actually interested in, so you can stay up to date with information you care about without getting distracted by the rest.

News Feed FAQs

Sometimes a post that you've already seen will move to the top of your feed if one of your coworkers has liked or commented on it. This helps you see posts that are important to you and that your coworkers are interacting with the most. Find out more information in the Help Center.

You can turn video auto-play settings on or off on Workplace. To stop videos from playing automatically on your computer, click your profile picture in the bottom left of Workplace, then click ‘Settings’ followed by ‘Videos’. Click the dropdown menu next to the ‘Auto-Play Videos’ and select ‘Off’.

You can choose to ‘mute’ or ‘snooze’ posts from a specific coworker if you no longer want to see their updates on your feed. Muting a coworker's posts will hide all posts by them from your feed until you choose to unmute them. Snoozing a coworker's posts will hide posts by them from your feed for the next 30 days.
